We are a full service salon & prefer to give you a full service. We don’t like to rush our services or our clients, so please allow plenty of time. If you are running late we will do our best to accommodate you, however, to avoid inconveniencing our other clients we may not be able to guarantee your full service. We may also have to reschedule your appointment.

For all hair & beauty service’s, advance bookings are preferred. We do appreciate 24 hrs notice if you need to cancel or postpone your service. A 50% deposit/cancellation fee will be required/charged for all services. Deposits/cancellation fee’s are non refundable if less than 24 hrs notice is not given.

We do have gift vouchers. Our gift vouchers have an expiry of 6 months after date of purchase.

With all services you can have a choice of Cafe style coffee’s, Real herbal Teas, Real spring water, Red or White Wine. Up to date magazines.

With our services we give discount on service’s for: Seniors, Emergency Services (Police, Ambulance & Fire Brigades) & Defence Force (Army, Navy & Air Force) upon presentation of ID).

Apprentice/Private Hairdressing Student Services NO discount available.

If you see an advertisement from our competitors (example Stefan’s, Toni & Guy, Price Attack, Hair House Warehouse etc) we will honour that advertisement. (Terms & conditions do apply, please see the Guarantee & Ts & Cs page)

Shear Image Hair & Beauty started with Christine & Steve in February 2007(the salon had previously been a hair salon for approximately 6 yrs). We chose Moorooka due to its own car park, location (nice & private) and size/layout of the salon & we also felt that Moorooka & the surrounding suburbs were lacking in a Professional salon that had both hair & beauty service’s.

Christine & Steve came together with no prior business experience only the determination of owning a business & love for hairdressing this has been a successful union.

Since Christine & Steve took over Shear Image Hair & Beauty they improved the salon dramatically threw increased advertising, supporting the local schools, revamping the salon & bringing in a complete range of Salon Professional Products & having all your hair & beauty needs under the one roof.

With Shear Image we wanted to create something different than “every other” salon. We wanted anyone and everyone to be able to walk in and feel welcomed. We wanted to create a salon where there is a balance between being professional & relaxed with our clients. We didn’t want to have a salon where you sit & wait for your turn, or get you out in 15 mins. We feel hairdressing & beauty therapy is a personal experience.

We also wanted to provide everyone with a service no other salon provides for example: designated children’s area, PLUS loyalty points & clubs for all clients, Rewards Cards, SMS reminder texts, email reminders, newsletters and a comfortable, relaxed service. We also wanted some where that clients can come to the salon with no hassles & feel that no one else is looking at them while having their hair done.

We chose L’Oreal Professionnel due to L’Oreal’s ability to care for the hair, add shine, versatility & experience & knowledge of the hair. L’Oreal Professionnel is truly the best product available. (Steve is a L’Oreal junkie he has used L’Oreal since 2002 & wouldn’t use anything else). Their website is www.lorealprofessionnel.com.au

We chose Thalgo also due to their experience in skin & skin care. Thalgo believe’s in Marine properties & have no harsh nasty ingredients. Their website is www.thalgo.com.au

We do not & never will use bulk products or cheap & nasty products. We only use L’Oreal Professionnel, Thalgo, Essie, ghd & Gehwol.

So if your an “old” client of Shear Image & haven’t been back since the guys have taken over you will be surprised and welcomed.
