More than a salon, an Experience!

Shear Image Hair & Beauty started with Christine & Steve in February 2007(the salon had previously been a hair salon for approximately 6 yrs). We chose Moorooka due to its own car park, location (nice & private) and size/layout of the salon.
Christine & Steve came together after Christine was downsized from her Nursing career & Steve wasn’t happy with the salon he was working at.
This lead to them joining together to create the company Image Counts Pty Ltd. With no prior business experience only the determination of owning a business & love for hairdressing this has been a successful union.
Since Christine & Steve took over Shear Image Hair & Beauty they improved the salon dramatically threw increased advertising (yellow pages, foodworks, Moorooka Football Club, this web site, yellow pages online etc), revamping & bringing in a complete range of Salon Products & having all your hair & beauty needs under the one roof.
With Shear Image we wanted to create something different than “every other” salon. We wanted anyone and everyone to be able to walk in and feel welcomed. We wanted to create a salon where there is a balance between being professional & relaxed with our clients.
To provide everyone with a service no other salon provides for example: designated children’s area, fresh cafe style coffee’s, pure 100% herbal teas, Spring Water, up to date magazines, all at no cost to the client PLUS loyalty points & clubs for all clients, Rewards Cards, SMS reminder texts, newsletters etc.
We also wanted some where that clients can come to the salon with no hassles & feel that no one else is looking at them while having their hair done.
They chose L’Oreal Professionnel due to L’Oreal’s ability to care for the hair, add shine, versatility, L’Oreal Professionnel is truly the best product available. (Steve is a L’Oreal junkie he has used L’Oreal since 2002 & wouldn’t use anything else).
So if your an “old” client of Shear Image & haven’t been back since the guys have taken over you will be surprised and welcomed.
In 2010 we have employed our very first Apprentice & Beauty Therapist. This was a big step for Christine & Steve.
In 2009 they contacted ghd & now stock the ghd stylers as-well as Thalgo Beauty Products & services.
